Canandaigua Wine Appoints Vice President of Northwest Operations

Canandaigua, NY (July 1, 2002) -- Canandaigua Wine, a division of Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ, STZ.B), announces the appointment of Glenn Coogan as Vice President of Northwest Operations. 

Glenn, who reports to Mike Jaeger, President of the Table Wine Group, will provide general management of the company's wineries and facilities in Washington State and Idaho. He will direct and support Northwest winemaking and production activities designed to achieve the short term and strategic plans of Canandaigua Wine Company. Northwest winemaking, vineyard operations, production, hospitality, retail and fiscal management will be under his direction.

Glenn’s experience in the wine industry includes serving as Vice President of Operations for Stimson Lane Vineyards and Estates, the Washington State producers of Columbia Crest and Chateau Ste. Michelle brands.  At Stimson Lane, Glenn's responsibilities included winery and vineyard operations, production planning, grower relations, engineering and viticulture. Glenn led Stimson though a major expansion phase of their Washington operations. Fermentation, barrel storage, distribution and bottling were expanded at multiple sites for Columbia Crest and Chateau Ste. Michelle. From 1997 to 2002, Glenn served on the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers Board.

Prior to joining the wine industry, Glenn worked for more than 15 years in operational positions of increasing responsibility in the Cranberry and Citrus Divisions of Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc.  Glenn has a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from Portland State University.
