Talus Tasting Day Set for February 22 at Lodi Wine & Visitor Center  
Talus Winemaker to Present New Lodi Shiraz

LODI, Calif. January 30, 2003 – Talus Winemaker Todd Ziemann will host a “Talus Tasting Day” at the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center on Saturday, February 22 to give visitors the opportunity to taste the new Talus 2000 Lodi Shiraz.  This is the first chance consumers have to sample the wine, which is Talus’ first Lodi appellation wine. 

Ziemann, a fourth-generation native of Lodi, will be at the visitor center from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm to talk about his wines and winemaking style and to answer any questions.  Along with the newly released Talus 2000 Shiraz, Ziemann also plans to bring a sample of the 2001 Shiraz, which will be released this summer. 

“Lodi has a rich history of producing high quality wines and I’m proud that our popular Shiraz will now carry Lodi on the label,” said Talus Winemaker Todd Ziemann.  “I hope local residents and visitors to the area will stop by to learn more about the Lodi wine region and to taste our wines.”
